Physical Therapy in Raleigh, NC
Pain That Keeps Coming Back Stops Here
You've tried rest, maybe injections, maybe PT that didn't stick. At Total Motion PT, we use a fundamentally different approach — Total Motion Release — to find the root cause and fix it for good. Most patients feel better after their first visit.

What Happens When You Keep Living With Pain That Won't Quit
You Keep Treating Symptoms, Not the Source
Most PT focuses on the painful area — stretching it, strengthening it, working it. But when the underlying tightness elsewhere in the body is never addressed, the pain keeps coming back.
You're Missing the Activities That Matter Most
Pain that lingers costs more than discomfort. It costs you workouts, weekends, time with family, and the confidence that your body will cooperate when it counts.
You Start to Wonder If It's Just How Life Is Now
After failed treatments, doubt sets in. You stop expecting a real fix. That's exactly who we built this clinic for — and why most of our patients found us after everything else fell short.
Why Total Motion PT Gets Results Other PT Clinics Don't
Our approach is built on Total Motion Release — an evidence-based physical therapy technique developed right here at this clinic. Instead of forcing movement into painful areas, TMR identifies tightness and restriction elsewhere in the body and treats that instead. The nervous system resets, range of motion returns, and pain decreases — often after the very first visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about physical therapy at Total Motion PT? Here are answers to what patients ask most.
How is your physical therapy different from other PT clinics?
We use Total Motion Release — a technique that treats the pain-free side of the body to fix the painful side. Instead of forcing movement into restricted, painful areas, we reset the nervous system through pain-free motion. Most patients feel improvement after their first visit, and leave with skills to self-manage their movement for life.
Do you accept my insurance?
Yes. We are in-network with most major insurance plans including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. We also accept Workers Compensation and attorney-referred cases. HSA and FSA are welcome, and discounted cash rates are available.
Will I work with the same therapist every visit?
Yes. Your care is never handed off to aides or assistants. You'll work with Chip, Michael, or Mana, who collaborate closely to ensure continuity of care, consistent progression, and a treatment plan tailored to your goals from start to finish.
How many sessions will I need?
Every patient progresses at a different pace. Your time in therapy depends on your goals, the nature of your condition, and how quickly you achieve meaningful improvements. Our focus is not just symptom relief, but helping you address the underlying cause, restore function, and build the confidence to stay active long after treatment ends.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit is a one-on-one session with a licensed physical therapist and includes a thorough assessment of your movement, strength, mobility, and overall function. You'll also discuss your goals and begin a personalized TMR treatment plan designed around your specific needs.
